Odaiba is a man-made island in Tokyo Bay with shopping malls, entertainment venues, and waterfront parks. Rainbow Bridge views are spectacular at night.

How to Enjoy

teamLab

teamLab Borderless is no longer in Odaiba — it moved to Azabudai Hills and reopened there in February 2024. If you would rather stay on the bay, teamLab Planets is a minute’s walk from Shin-Toyosu Station, further along the same Yurikamome line that runs through Odaiba.

Getting There

From Narita Airport (NRT)

Recommended (Premium): The Airport Limousine Bus offers direct access to major Odaiba hotels and drop-off points from Terminals 1, 2, and 3 in approximately 80–100 minutes. This is the most convenient option as it avoids navigating transfers with luggage. Mid-range: Take the 🔴 Narita Express (N’EX) to Tokyo Station, transfer to the 🟢 JR Yamanote Line to Shimbashi Station, then switch to the Yurikamome Line to reach Odaiba.

From Haneda Airport (HND)

Recommended (Mid-range): The Airport Limousine Bus departs from all terminals (T1, T2, T3) and reaches the Odaiba area in approximately 20–35 minutes. Alternative (Train): Take the 🔵 Tokyo Monorail from the airport to Tennozu Isle Station, then transfer to the Rinkai Line to reach Tokyo Teleport Station in approximately 30–40 minutes.

From Major Stations

  • From Shinjuku & Shibuya Stations: Take the 🟢 JR Saikyo Line. Many trains on this line provide through-service directly onto the Rinkai Line, reaching Tokyo Teleport Station in approximately 25–30 minutes without a physical transfer.
  • From Tokyo Station: Take the 🟢 JR Yamanote Line to Shimbashi Station (approximately 3 minutes), then transfer to the Yurikamome Line to cross the Rainbow Bridge into Odaiba.
  • From Asakusa: Take the 🟠 Tokyo Metro Ginza Line to Shimbashi Station, then transfer to the Yurikamome Line (approximately 35–45 minutes).

Local Access

Odaiba is primarily served by two train lines: the Yurikamome Line (elevated, scenic views via Rainbow Bridge) and the Rinkai Line (underground, faster connection to Shinjuku/Shibuya). Key stations include Daiba Station and Tokyo Teleport Station. IC cards (Suica, PASMO) are accepted on all trains and buses in the area.
