Getting There

From Narita Airport (NRT)

Recommended (Mid-range): Take the 🟠 Keisei Access Express from Terminal 1 or 2. Look for a train bound for Haneda Airport, which runs through to the 🩷 Toei Asakusa Line. Disembark at Higashi-ginza Station in approximately 70–80 minutes, then walk 5 minutes to the market. Terminal 3 passengers should take the shuttle to Terminal 2 first. Premium: Take the 🔵 Keisei Skyliner to Ueno Station, then transfer to the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line to Tsukiji Station (approximately 60–70 minutes total).

From Haneda Airport (HND)

Recommended (Mid-range): Take the 🔴 Keikyu Line (Airport Express) from any terminal (T1, T2, T3). This line connects directly to the 🩷 Toei Asakusa Line. Get off at Higashi-ginza Station in approximately 30–40 minutes. Budget: The 🔵 Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho Station, followed by a transfer to the 🟣 Toei Oedo Line (to Tsukiji Shijo Station), takes approximately 45–50 minutes.

From Major Stations

  • From Shinjuku Station: Take the 🟣 Toei Oedo Line directly to Tsukiji Shijo Station (approximately 20–25 minutes). This is the most convenient option as it requires no transfers.
  • From Tokyo Station: Take the 🔴 Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line to Ginza Station, then transfer to the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line to Tsukiji Station (approximately 15 minutes). Alternatively, a taxi takes approximately 10 minutes.
  • From Shibuya Station: Take the 🟠 Tokyo Metro Ginza Line to Ginza Station, then transfer to the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line to Tsukiji Station (approximately 25–30 minutes).

Local Access

The market is served by two main stations: Tsukiji Shijo Station on the 🟣 Toei Oedo Line (Exit A1) and Tsukiji Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line (Exit 1 or 2). Both are approximately a 1–3 minute walk from the shops. Higashi-ginza Station (🩷 Toei Asakusa Line) is also walkable in approximately 5 minutes. IC cards (Suica, PASMO) are accepted on all lines.
