Getting There

From Narita Airport (NRT)

Recommended (Premium): Take the 🔴 Narita Express (N’EX) directly from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 to Shibuya Station in approximately 75–85 minutes. This option requires no transfers and offers reserved seating. Terminal 3 users must take the shuttle bus or walk to Terminal 2 first. Mid-range: Take the 🔵 Keisei Skyliner to Nippori Station, then transfer to the 🟢 JR Yamanote Line to reach Shibuya in approximately 60–70 minutes. Budget: Airport Limousine Buses serve major hotels in the Shibuya area directly, though travel times vary significantly based on traffic.

From Haneda Airport (HND)

Recommended (Mid-range): Take the 🔴 Keikyu Line from any terminal (T1, T2, T3) to Shinagawa Station, then transfer to the 🟢 JR Yamanote Line to Shibuya Station. The total journey takes approximately 35–45 minutes. Alternative: Take the 🔵 Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho Station, then transfer to the 🟢 JR Yamanote Line to Shibuya (approximately 40–50 minutes). Taxis and Airport Limousine Buses are also available for direct access to hotels.

From Major Stations

  • From Tokyo Station: Take the 🟢 JR Yamanote Line directly to Shibuya Station (approximately 25 minutes). Alternatively, the 🔴 Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line connects to the 🟠 Tokyo Metro Ginza Line at Akasaka-mitsuke for a subway-only route.
  • From Shinjuku Station: Take the 🟢 JR Yamanote Line or the 🟢 JR Saikyo Line directly to Shibuya (approximately 5–7 minutes).

Local Access

Shibuya Station is one of Tokyo’s busiest transport hubs. It is served by the 🟢 JR Yamanote Line, 🟢 JR Saikyo Line, 🟠 Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, 🟣 Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line, and 🟤 Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line. It is also the terminus for the Tokyu Toyoko Line, Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, and Keio Inokashira Line. The famous Shibuya Crossing is located immediately outside the Hachiko Exit. IC cards (Suica, PASMO) are accepted on all trains and buses in the region.

From Haneda Airport (HND)

The Keikyu Line provides direct access to Shibuya via through service on the Toei Asakusa and Tokyo Metro lines. The journey takes approximately 40-50 minutes. Alternatively, the Limousine Bus is a direct option, though travel time varies depending on traffic.

From Major Stations

  • From Tokyo Station: Take the JR Yamanote Line directly to Shibuya Station (approximately 30 minutes).
  • From Shinjuku Station: Take the JR Yamanote Line, JR Saikyo Line, JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line, or the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line directly to Shibuya Station (approximately 10 minutes).
