Kuromon Market has been Osakas kitchen for over 190 years. The 600-meter arcade houses 150+ shops selling fresh seafood, fruits, and prepared foods. Popular for sashimi breakfast and grilled seafood.

Getting There

From Kansai International Airport (KIX)

Recommended (Mid-range): Take the 🔵 Nankai Airport Express from Terminal 1 to Namba Station in approximately 45 minutes. From Namba Station, the market is an approximately 5–10 minute walk. Premium: The 🔵 Nankai Limited Express Rapi:t covers the same route in approximately 35–40 minutes with reserved seating. Budget: JR lines are available but generally require a transfer at Tennoji or Shin-Imamiya to reach the Namba/Nippombashi area.

From Osaka Itami Airport (ITM)

Recommended (Mid-range): Take the Airport Limousine Bus to Namba Station in approximately 30–40 minutes. This is the most convenient option as train routes require multiple transfers involving the Monorail and Hankyu lines.

From Major Stations

  • From Shin-Osaka Station: Take the 🟠 Osaka Metro Midosuji Line directly to Namba Station (approximately 15 minutes).
  • From Osaka Station (Umeda): Take the 🟠 Osaka Metro Midosuji Line to Namba Station (approximately 8 minutes).
  • From Kyoto (Kawaramachi): Take the 🟤 Hankyu Line to Osaka-Umeda, then transfer to the 🟠 Osaka Metro Midosuji Line to Namba.
  • From Nara: Take the 🔴 Kintetsu Line directly to Kintetsu-Nippombashi Station (approximately 35–40 minutes).

Local Access

The closest station is Nippombashi Station, served by the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line, Sennichimae Line, and the 🔴 Kintetsu Line. The market entrance is approximately a 2-minute walk from Exit 10. Alternatively, Namba Station is an approximately 5–10 minute walk away. IC cards like ICOCA (Kansai), Suica, and PASMO are accepted on all trains and subways.
